About Us
Hello.. and Welcome to Barry Capital.
Our firm was founded on the simple principle that everyone deserves and can benefit from proactive ongoing financial advice.
In 1995, the year of our inception, we committed to delivering high-end financial and wealth management services to the broadest number of clients that we could. We believed then, as we do now, that when a client can work closely with an advisor to set appropriate goals, set aside the resources to meet those goals and work together to monitor both progress and change on an ongoing basis there's a greatly increased chance of realizing the life they desire.
When we were starting from a blank slate we saw the unique opportunity at our inception to do everything we could to ensure that everyone that needs help can get it; but then we realized that only works if we have a pricing strategy that helps everybody afford the advice that they need. Over the years, we've evolved a pricing strategy that is truly transparent and client centric, one that we believe has, at it's core our clients best interests above all else. Our pricing is based on the value that we bring to the relationship with our clients, not on the sale of products and not on the amount of money that a client has invested with us.
At Barry Capital, we believe that clients can in fact achieve their lifelong vision for their futures. True, it takes hard work, dedication and commitment of a team of people all pulling in the same direction. As orchestrator of the plan, we work at a deep level, grasping the relationship between and among all the resources, detecting broad patterns rather than just delivering only on specific solutions or recommendations.
We pride ourselves on our ability to service a diverse clientele. An average Client tenure of over 13 years, two consecutive selections as a 5-Star Wealth Manager by New Jersey Monthly Magazine and our own high marks on our proprietary client satisfaction surveys clearly indicates the success of our ongoing commitment to the highest level of client service and satisfaction.

In 2003 during his term as National Chairman of the Financial Planning Association, (FPA) Research Magazine featured Bob in an article titled, "The Apostle of Planning" and in assessing his strenghts, call him, "the profession's most eloquent voice."
The profession has been served by any number of organizations over the last forty-years. The IAFP (International Association for Financial Planning) was one of those organizations. Bob served on the Northern New Jersey IAFP board for seven years, including three years as the Chapter's President. He was then elected to the IAFP National Board in 1993, serving as National Ethics Committee Chair, Chair of the Strategic Issues Advisory Council and three years on the IAFP Executive Committee.
In 1999, eight individuals four from the IAFP and four from the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICFP) were chosen to negotiate the IAFP/ICFP merger which would ultimately combine the nations two largest financial planning organizations. Bob was one of the eight individuals chosen to accomplish this important task.
The resulting organization, the Financial Planning Association (FPA) was formed in 2000. Two years later, Bob was chosen as FPA's first elected National President serving his term in 2002, followed by a year as National Chairman in 2003. Bob has also been recognized in Marquis, Who's Who In The World.
Bob lives in Washington New Jersey with his daughter Brittany Marie.
